Coming from a foreign land with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering my time at university of Wuppertal was nothing less than a roller coaster ride. The structure of CSIS is designed to teach the students the best knowledge required for a career in simulation. Because I held a degree in electrical engineering, I was naturally tempted towards perusing specialization in Computational Electromagnetics. During my studies, I was lucky enough to work in an automotive radar company (APTIV services GmbH). This combination helped me grow my knowledge exponentially. University provided me with required theoretical knowledge and then implementing this knowledge practically at work. This combination linked all concepts, theories and everything which was uncertain clicked and helped me develop as a good simulation engineer.
I did my master thesis under combine supervision of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Markus Clemens and my supervisor from APTIV. This thesis explored impacts of Electromagnetic wave polarization for automotive radar system. Findings in this thesis paved way for more investigations to be done. So for this purpose a doctoral study was in place from combine efforts from Prof Clemens and APTIV. This is where I am currently busy and exploring method and concepts for electromagnetic simulation for automotive radar systems.
All of what I was able to achieve would not have been possible without a race, gender, nationality neutral environment offered by university of Wuppertal. Equipment in laboratories, books in library and above all professors who are always available for help are the key features which make this university a great place for learning and striving to become a great professional.
