Cost of Living

Here you will get the overview of the average expenditure of a student in Germany.

Monthly expenditure for Average value in Euros:

- rent including utilities and common charges: 290,00 € - 500,00€
- food: 200,00€
- study materials: 35,00€
- semester fee: 50,00€
- health insurance: 15,00€
- telephone, internet, fees for radio and television: 35,00€
- Leisure, recreation and going out: 150,00€

The actual costs depend on the particular individual living standard of the students!
On average please plan around 900,00 - 950,00 € per month for living costs.
 

Behaviour in case of Illness

In case you cannot attend an examination or follow the deadline due to illness, it is obligatory to

1. Inform your lecturer/examiner as soon as possible before the time of the deadline/examination. Please send them an e-mail via your official university e-mail account. The e-mail should include the following information: your full name, matriculation number, study programme, name and number of the module/course as well as the date of the deadline/examination.

2. Submit this form, as a PDF-file via the following link: 
   Certificate Upload 
   (Please, see also: Instructions for certificate upload).

   Please, note that the certificate must be obtained immediately, generally no later than the day of the exam/deadline. Furthermore, the upload is only possible from within the university network. If you try to get the access outside the university´s network, A VPN connection may be necessary (Please, see: Information about VPN Access). The certificate you upload will automatically reach the responsible administrative staff.

The examination board of your study programme decides about granting or denying the certificate.
In case it is granted, the withdrawal will be recorded in StudiLöwe. In case the withdrawal is denied, you will receive a written statement.
